DownTown

DownTown is for elementary age kids, K5 thru 5th grade that have activities and hands on Bible study. A place they can meet with other kids to mature in faith, wisdom, and develop friendships in a small group environment on Sunday mornings.

We want our children to make:

Wise Decisions
Trust in God
Treat Others Right

Wannabe Store
The Wannabe store is a place where children can purchase items for themselves, family and friends or for our mission emphesis bi-weekly with Kool Kash they have earned during DownTown and UpTown.

Who is the Wannabe store for?
Our Wannabe store is for children K5 thru 5th grade.

What is Kool Kash and how is it earned?
Kool Kash is play money kids can earn by attending DownTown, bringing a visitor, bringing their Bibles, memorizing scripture, participating in lessons, listening, following instructions, reciting the main point and much more!

Our Wannabe store will open the following dates
Our store is only opened during our DownTown small group time at 11:15am. They will be visiting the store during the last part of DownTown at 12:00 until 12:15

MISSION THEME for 2008/09
Our desire is to teach and lead the children to become more mission driven. Throughout the year we will be teaching the children the importance of being less self centered and more focused on the needs of others. During each bi-monthly theme we will be using the children’s offering to meet the needs of others both inside and outside our church walls. Listed below is our bi-monthly mission theme.

DOWNTOWN OPPORTUNITIES

Small Group (DownTown) leader—This position serves during the 11:15 am service. The leader would serve on a weekly basis teaching/leading the children in a bible story lesson and activities. We are needing one more leader for our 4th grade girls class and an activity leader for our 3rd grade boys and girls class. If you are interested please see Carol Vickers
